2018 Six Nations

This year we had the privilege of watching Ireland play France in Paris and Italy, Wales and Scotland in Dublin. The quote of the season has to go to Sara “we thought of trying to get you tickets for the England match (at Twickenham) but I don’t think I could bear it to be beside you if Ireland won!”

Paris was amazing… a long weekend with Cathie & Alan and Pat & Elaine. Plenty of good food, wine, tourist attractions and that amazing drop goal by Jonny Sexton to clinch the match in the dying minutes and set Ireland on their way to the Grand Slam and 6 Nations championship winners.

For the Italy match we stayed in Dublin with our Melmore friends Liz and Mick. Great company, good times and amazing food at Fish Shop.

Wales and Scotland we travelled up and down for – by then the championship was in the bag – and then came “super Saturday” all 6 teams playing on the same day and Ireland facing England – on St Patrick’s Day!

We had the best table reserved in The Stillhouse in Moira and had a great afternoon with our “Ruck” buddies – the Ferguson’s, Carvill’s and the Benson’s 💕🏈
